This Honda Grom came to us as a standard road bike. The owner wanted a full Repsol HRC replica livery — the same scheme seen on Marc Márquez's championship-winning CBR1000RR. That means matching the exact orange, red and white panel breakdown with Honda's factory Repsol graphics, applied over a professionally prepared base.
The Grom's small fairing panels require precise masking and an extremely steady hand for the paint transitions. Unlike larger sports bikes where slight imperfections can be buffed out, every millimetre of a Grom fairing is visible at close range. The standard of finish had to be flawless.
Replicating the Repsol livery on panels this small required precise colour breaks, hand-applied OEM-spec decals and a multi-stage clear coat to encapsulate the graphics without edge lifting or orange peel.
We used a three-stage masking process for each colour transition, applied genuine Honda Repsol decals at the correct panel positions, then sealed the entire livery under four coats of 2K clear — wet-sanded and machine polished to a mirror finish.
All factory panels removed, cleaned, sanded to 400 grit, sealed with etching primer and guide coat applied to reveal any surface imperfections before the colour coats.
Full Honda Pearl White base coat applied across all panels — two coats of colour, one coat of pearl mid-coat — before any masking for the Repsol orange and red sections.
Repsol orange blocked in first, then red, with precision film masking at each transition. Hard-edge tape lines cut using a scalpel for factory-sharp colour breaks at every panel seam.
Genuine HRC Repsol replica decals sourced and applied at factory positions. Each decal wet-applied and squeegeed flat to eliminate air pockets before clear coat encapsulation.
Four coats of 2K urethane clear applied over 48 hours, wet-sanded through 800/1500/2000 grit, then machine compounded and hand polished to a showroom mirror finish.
Full service including oil, filter, brake fluid flush and chain adjustment. All panels refitted with new OEM fairing clips. Pre-delivery inspection completed before handover.
